Landon at 14 months

Landon is 14 months old now and is developing a very playful and silly personality.  He is usually full of smiles, flashing his two front teeth and wrinkling his nose up as he looks up at you and makes noises.  He has the lateral incisors about half way in now, but still only one tooth on the bottom.  Its so funny because most kids get those at the same time, and earlier, too.  Not Landon.

He has recently realized that dipping food into sauces and other things is fun.  Here he is with a cookie dipped into our Gelato...

He also loves feeding himself with a fork or spoon.  With the fork he has a pretty good aim.  With a spoon he usually loses what he is spooning up.

Landon is talking up a storm these days, with virtually none of it comprehensible yet.  But he is to that point where he thinks he is having a conversation with you as he tries to show us things, hand us things, or reach for something.  It would sure be fun to be able to have a machine to translate his baby babbles...

A few that we have been able to make out:

- Tractor
- Moooo (when looking at pictures of a cow)
- Sheese (Cheese):  as he is holding up the camera to take pictures

Saying 'sheese' repeatedly as he tries to take pictures of me...
Though this post is about Landon, here are a few of Caleb smiling to make up for all the ones he isn't smiling in!

He is starting to give them more willingly for pictures lately :)

One word that Landon does know in Spanish: sientate (sit down).  We don't yet have a high-chair for him here so he is usually on our laps or sitting and standing in a chair when we eat, so there has been much need for this word.  Yesterday I was feeding him lunch and when I would say sientate to him, he would immediately obey.  It has only been a few days, but it is fun to see that he already knows at least one word in Spanish. :)

Walking quite well now and trying to go really fast sometimes too.  I think running is not to far off...

Looks like he is working hard at it here, but hey, balancing on the sand is a tricky task!

On our enclosed patio right after a nap (Landon's, not mine unfortunately)
