Landon at 19 months

Not a lot of change since the 18 month mark, mostly just attempts at new words and sounds, and plenty of pictures and fun :)

Recent additions to his vocabulary:
5/23/13:  As we were getting ready to go on a bike ride, Landon grabbed his helmet and handed it to me as he said "hemet!"

5/25/13:  As I was counting something with Caleb, I said "One....", then Landon said "Two....".  He really likes saying "two" when someone is counting.

5/25/13:  While playing with the foam letters in the bathtub, Landon picked up the "W".  I said "w", and he said "Double, duba duba", and went back and forth between the two ways of saying it a few times.  Since then he likes to be silly saying "duba duba duba".

5/30:
thank you! - when leaving a voicemail for Auntie A and Uncle Ben :)

fower - flower
row (sounding like the word 'around') - (mimicking me as I told him that the meat in Papa's tumbler goes around and around and around, like the wheels on the bus.
tider - tiger (see picture with tiger below)

ready! - he loves saying this one, which comes up in one of the videos on the LeapPad, and we have realized we say it a fair amount during the day, too, so he always repeats it with a big grin on his face.
pillow - has only said this one a couple of times...
cold, brrr - when we go into the walk-in refrigerator section at Costco
Gigi - he has started referring to Nana Gigi by her name :)
puzzie - puzzle - since we recently got a couple of puzzles that he enjoys doing, he has started using this word as he points to them.

Spanish:
a-on - trying to repeat 'avion' when we see them
chooga - lechuga (lettuce)

Had his first big tumble, as many of you saw on Facebook last week.  He apparently wasn't paying attention when walking down the two steps by our kitchen side door, and fell flat on his forehead.  It looked horrible, but he calmed down quickly and was fine after just a minute or two.  I think it scared him more than anything.  Left a nice bump and big scrape, which Caleb asked about the next day at breakfast... "Mommy why is Landon's owie like a zig-zag?"  It healed quite quickly, but the photo session that we had planned for last Friday still had to be rescheduled.

Next morning - almost no bump, just all scrape

Tried out painting for the first time at the Stockton Children's Museum.  He did ok, and didn't make too big of a mess... just a little blue streak in his hair and some on his ear.  Helped that he had a little apron on.

Landon is yet to get in his bottom right tooth, which makes his smile look a little lopsided with just three teeth on the bottom.  He has in his top two molars, and the bottom ones are making their way to the surface quickly.

Still a good napper - 2 to 3 hours, once a day.

Likes climbing and jumping!

On daddy's watch... ;)
