Trick or Treat!

...Well, maybe next year they will get to go around saying that, but this year we had a nice, low-key evening with the boys dressed up cute in their costumes.  See the grandparents, then to a friend's house for yummy homemade chili and handing out candy in a busy neighborhood.  The great thing was that instead of Caleb running out the door every time it was opened (like last year at 15 months old), this year he was the one running to the door, completely on his own, and putting one piece of candy into each trick-or-treater's bag, as he told them "trick or treat" and "thank you".  Caleb was very excited about his job, and it was great for us adults to let him do the back and forth.  (BTW: We were all in the same room where he was visible the whole time - entryway, dining area, and living room are all connected :) )

Landon just enjoyed being somewhere different, crawling all around, pulling up on everything, and taking bites of food from us in between all his movement.  He also had a lot of fun trying to blow the wooden train whistle that I got him - he watched Caleb do it, but his came out as hums instead of blowing, but cute just the same.

Since they both really enjoy Thomas the Train we dressed them as train conductors and told Caleb that they were like the engineers who drive Thomas, Percy, and all the other trains on the Island of Sodor.  When Caleb first saw himself in the costume and I likened it to Thomas' driver, he got a huge smile on his face :)

He was distracted enough by the whistle that he forgot about the hat being on his head...
Stopped by to see Papa Jack at the rehab hospital - he's doing better and gaining his strength back, but keep the prayers comin'!

Teething on his train whistle
Caleb thought the two-way camera on Papa's phone was a pretty cool thing that he could see himself :)
